Support for Participants from Developing Countries

ICIAM 2015 has established a fund to support 300 participants from developing countries to attend the congress. The decision on who to support will be made on the basis of merit and with due regard for gender and geographical balance. Preference will be given to applicants who plan to give a presentation at the congress. Support falls into one of the following four categories:
(1) international travel;
(2) local support (dorm-style accommodation for up to 6 nights and registration fee);
(3) registration fee.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to seek additional funding wherever possible and evidence of solicitation of other support will be given preference. The maximum support per delegate is 10,000 RMB.

To be eligible for the travel grant, the application should include: A curriculum vitae (max. 2 pages) including publication list or a statement describing the applicant's doctoral research. Complete personal details (full name, date of birth, gender, country of residence and nationality, affiliation). Complete contact details (postal address, E-mail). The name with E-mail of the head of a department of the applicant’s institution. Advanced graduate students and postdoctoral fellows within 5 years of “receiving their Ph.D. are recommended to submit a letter of reference from their doctoral advisor.

SIAM Travel grants for ICIAM 2015

SIAM has support for 100 mathematical and computational scientists to travel to and attend ICIAM 2015, to be held August 10-14 in Beijing, China. Funding for this travel award is made possible by a grant from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF). The nominal limit of travel support is in the amount of US $2000. Please note that a free registration is not included.

For awards funded by this grant from the NSF, applicants must be affiliated with a U.S. institution at the beginning of ICIAM (August 10, 2015). For more details and instructions for applying for travel support, please visit:
